Ophthalmologist - Mr C Blyth BSc(Hons) FRCOphthProfile: Chris Blyth is a
consultant Ophthalmologist (Eye surgeon) with over 20 years' experience
in this speciality. Chris Blyth provides a full adult diagnostic service
for all problems relating to eyes. He works as part of a
multi-disciplinary team for the treatment of 'wet' age-related macular
degeneration in the NHS clinic. He has a specialist interest in small
incision cataract surgery, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic

Profile:
Andrew is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Aneurin Bevan Health
Board. Originally from North Wales, he graduated from Bristol
University in 1998 with degrees in both Medicine and Anatomy. Before
starting his Ophthalmology training he worked in hospital medicine
in Sydney, Australia and subsequently at Oxford University teaching
Anatomy. His Ophthalmology training was based in the South West of
England and South Wales followed by a specialist fellowship in
Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery at Moorfields Eye
Hospital, London where he was trained by leading experts in this
field. Andrew returned to South Wales in 2011 taking up a consultant
position at Aneurin Bevan Health Board. He is a Fellow of the Royal
College of Ophthalmologists and Royal College of Ophthalmologists
educational supervisor for the junior Ophthalmologists in the Health
board. His areas of expertise include small incision cataract
surgery, oculoplastic surgery and lacrimal problems. Andrew lives in
Monmouthshire with his wife and two young sons. He is a keen fly
fisherman and spends what little spare time he has on the Rivers Usk
and Wye.
